Reparation for a Cross torn down Saturday, June 27 at Golden Gate Park
Last Friday a mob tore down the statue of St. Junipero Serra in Golden Gate Park. The most prominent feature of this ten-foot statue was the large cross he held out over the city of San Francisco. An attack on the Cross of Christ, and destruction of the saints who proclaim it, is a sacrilege. It cries out for reparation and atonement. That is just what Archbishop Cordileone will do this Saturday June 27, at 9:30am, when he leads a rosary and exorcism prayers at St. Junipero’s statue site in Golden Gate Park.
