The Walk to Mary
For the past 4 years we have been organizing the “WALK TO MARY,” on the First Saturday in May and on the same day the Walk to Mary began 11 years ago in Wisconsin at the site of Our Lady of Champion. At Star of the Sea, all pilgrims meet at 11:00am in the Star of the Sea parish school yard, and we start our walk, praying the Rosary rain or shine to a designated site (during the past two years the 1.5-mile walking pilgrimage have started at Star of the Sea Parish, 4420 Geary Blvd., San Francisco, CA, and ended at the Carmelite Chapel and Monastery of Cristo Rey, 721 Parker Ave, San Francisco, CA, where we celebrate a Traditional Latin Mass at 12:00 noon. Our pastor Fr. Joseph Illo leads this beautiful walk and he is the celebrant of the Mass.
