Deacon Albear Nimri

Parish Manager

Born in Jordan, Deacon Albear brings a rich blend of cultural, spiritual, and professional experience to his role as both Deacon and Parish Manager at Star of the Sea Parish. Before moving to the United States in 1984, he worked for 10 years in Dubai as an Aviation Supervisor, a role that honed his leadership and organizational skills. In August 15, 2020, he was ordained a Deacon for the Archdiocese of San Francisco in a class fondly referred to as “the Covid Group.”  The ordination took place during the height of the pandemic- a time that tested faith and perseverance for many. He served at St. Thomas More church and later at St. Mary’s Cathedral.

He has been married to his beloved wife, Abby, for nearly 40 years. Together, they raised two wonderful sons and share a deep love for their Golden Retriever, who is a cherished part of their family. Deacon Albear’s love for nature is reflected in his passion for hiking and exploring the outdoors, particularly the mountains, where he finds peace and a deeper sense of God’s creation. His love for history and faith is reflected in his visits to holy sites, especially in the Holy Land, where his spiritual journey and cultural heritage come together in a deeply meaningful way. He is honored to serve the parish community with dedication and care.
