The Nativity of St. John the Baptist is celebrated at Star of the Sea with a Sung Traditional Latin Mass. This unique feast honors the birth of the Precursor, the one chosen by God to prepare the way for the coming of Christ.

In the mystery of his birth, the Church contemplates the divine plan of salvation already at work. Sanctified in the womb and filled with the Holy Spirit, St. John stands as the bridge between the Old and the New Covenant, pointing always to the Lamb of God. His life and mission call the faithful to repentance, humility, and a faithful witness to the truth: “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30).

Through the sacred prayers and chant of the Traditional Roman Rite, the faithful are invited to enter more deeply into this mystery and to imitate the example of St. John, preparing their hearts for the coming of Christ.

All are warmly invited to participate in this solemn and joyful feast.
