Parishioners are people who either live within the parish boundaries and/or have registered based on their weekly attendance at Sunday Mass, making Star of the Sea their home parish.

• Parishioners have a right to the sacramental ministry of the parish, including funeral or memorial services, marriage, or the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation).
• They are remembered in the daily prayers of the church.
• They are included in all spiritual and educational events at the parish.
• They have the opportunity to participate in the parish’s ministry.
• They support the repair of the church and the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal.

Parishioners can register to receive offertory envelopes for weekly giving. Please contact the parish office to request envelopes after you register.

Many people come to Star of the Sea on a regular but infrequent basis; usually, they attend their own local parish. Yet some people wish to be associated with the Star of the Sea community. We therefore invite people to join us as associate parishioners with certain rights and duties.

• They have the right to funeral or memorial services at Star of the Sea, and, with the written permission of their own pastor, to be married or to have their child baptized here.
• They are remembered in the daily prayers for the people of the church.
• They will be informed of major educational and spiritual events.
• They commit to supporting the repair of the church and the parish’s special appeals.
