The Church welcomes many pilgrims and tourists each year. We’re glad you’re planning to include the Star of the Sea on your visit. The Church is open daily for tours. We kindly ask that you avoid touring the Church during Mass times.

A tour or a day pilgrimage can be scheduled. Please contact the parish office for more details.

The Church is open every day between 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

Star of the Sea is located at the corner of Geary Blvd and 8th Ave in the Richmond District. For GPS navigation, set your coordinates to 4420 Geary Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94118.

Public Transportation (MUNI)
The church is conveniently located along major transit lines:

• 38 GEARY Stops directly at the corner of Geary & 8th Ave (both Eastbound and Westbound).
• 38R GEARY RAPID Stops at Geary & 6th Ave or Geary & 11th Ave, both just a short walk away.
• 44 O’SHAUGHNESSY Stops at 8th Ave & Clement St or 6th Ave & Geary, providing north-south access.
• 2 CLEMENT Stops nearby at 8th Ave & Clement St.

If you are driving, a private parking lot is available for parishioners and visitors. The entrance to the lot is located on 8th Avenue, situated between Geary Blvd and Clement St. Street parking is also available in the surrounding neighborhood, though please be mindful of residential permit signs and hourly limits.
