Sung Mass (Novus Ordo – 1970 Roman Rite) – Confessions during Mass

At Star of the Sea Parish, we celebrate a Sung Novus Ordo Mass according to the 1970 Roman Calendar. Offered with sacred music, chant, and solemnity, this celebration of the Ordinary Form of the Roman Rite draws the faithful into the beauty and reverence of the Church’s worship.

Celebrated ad orientem, with priest and people facing the same direction—toward the Lord—the Mass expresses a shared turning toward God. Sacred chant and music elevate the liturgy, fostering prayerful participation and contemplation of the mystery of the Holy Eucharist.

Through the proclamation of the Word and the offering of the Eucharistic sacrifice, the faithful are invited into a deeper encounter with Christ, who speaks to His people and nourishes them with His Body and Blood.
