The Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul is celebrated at Star of the Sea with a Sung Traditional Latin Mass. This great feast honors the two chief Apostles, pillars of the Church, who bore witness to Christ through their preaching and martyrdom in Rome.
St. Peter, chosen by Christ as the rock upon which the Church is built, and St. Paul, the Apostle to the Gentiles, together proclaim the universality and unity of the Church. Though different in mission, they are united in faith, in charity, and in their total gift of self to Christ: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).
Through the sacred prayers and chant of the Traditional Roman Rite, the faithful are invited to contemplate the apostolic foundation of the Church and to renew their own fidelity to Christ and His teachings. Their witness calls all believers to courage, perseverance, and unwavering faith.
In this solemn celebration, the Church rejoices in the triumph of these Apostles and seeks their intercession, that we too may remain steadfast in faith and united in Christ.
All are warmly invited to participate in this joyful and solemn feast.
