In 1917, amid the suffering of World War I, Our Lady of Fatima asked the three shepherd children to promote the First Saturday Devotion as a path to peace in the world and peace in our hearts. With maternal urgency, she warned that many souls are lost because there is so little prayer and sacrifice offered for them.

This devotion draws us into four essential acts of prayer and reparation:

• Attend Mass and receive Holy Communion
• Make a good confession
• Pray the Holy Rosary
• Spend 15 minutes meditating (with Our Lady) on the mysteries of the Rosary and the Word of God

The 8:30 am English Mass is preceded by Confessions and followed by the Rosary.
