This unique feast honors the birth of the Precursor\, the one chosen by God to prepare the way for the coming of Christ. \nIn the mystery of his birth\, the Church contemplates the divine plan of salvation already at work. Sanctified in the womb and filled with the Holy Spirit\, St. John stands as the bridge between the Old and the New Covenant\, pointing always to the Lamb of God. His life and mission call the faithful to repentance\, humility\, and a faithful witness to the truth: “He must increase\, but I must decrease” (John 3:30). \nThrough the sacred prayers and chant of the Traditional Roman Rite\, the faithful are invited to enter more deeply into this mystery and to imitate the example of St. John\, preparing their hearts for the coming of Christ. \nAll are warmly invited to participate in this solemn and joyful feast.

This great feast proclaims that the Blessed Virgin Mary\, having completed her earthly life\, was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory. \nIn this mystery\, the Church contemplates the fulfillment of God’s promise and the victory of grace in Mary\, who was preserved from sin and remained perfectly faithful to His will. As the Mother of God\, she now shares fully in the glory of her Son\, offering a sign of hope and consolation to the faithful: “All generations will call me blessed” (Luke 1:48). \nThrough the sacred prayers and chant of the Traditional Roman Rite\, the faithful are invited to lift their hearts toward Heaven\, where Our Lady reigns as Queen\, interceding for the Church and guiding her children to Christ. \nIn this solemn and joyful celebration\, the Church honors the glory of the Blessed Virgin Mary and seeks her intercession\, that we too may one day share in the resurrection and the life of Heaven. \nAll are warmly invited to participate in this great feast of the Church.

This beautiful Lenten devotion allows us to walk spiritually with Our Lord on His journey to Calvary\, reflecting on His suffering\, His sacrifice\, and His immense love for us. \nAs we meditate on each station\, we enter more deeply into the mystery of Christ’s Passion and are reminded of the great price of our redemption. The Stations help us embrace the spirit of Lent through repentance\, gratitude\, and a renewed desire to follow Christ more faithfully. \nYoung Adults will be hosting a Fish Fry after. \n“Dogs surround me\,\na pack of villains encircles me;\nThey pierce my hands and my feet.\nAll my bones are on display.\npeople stare and gloat over me.\nThey divide my clothes among them\nand cast lots for my garment.” (Psalm: 22 16-18)
