Eucharistic Procession and Mass with the Archbishop this Sunday

September 20, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 12:30 pm PDT

The Archbishop invites us to join him at UN Plaza this Sunday at 10am for a blessing with the Holy Eucharist. Other groups from the Mission and Downtown will converge with our group at UN Plaza. From there we process with the Holy Eucharist to the cathedral (9 blocks) for Mass with the Archbishop.  More information is available at the archdiocesan website,  https://sfarchdiocese.org

You can either park at the underground Civic Center garage and walk two blocks south  to UN Plaza, or take the Fulton 5 bus to the Leavenworth stop. I will also lead a group on foot from Star of the Sea, leaving promptly at 9am. Our route will go south on 8th Ave to Anza; left (east) on Anza to Masonic; right (south) on Masonic to McAllister; left (east) on McAllister to UN Plaza. Google says 1 hour 6 minutes walking, but we aim to shave off six minutes to arrive at UN Plaza at 10am. We will pray three rosaries during our walk.

We will have placards that say “We are essential: Free the MASS” for those who want to carry one. We must wear masks and be socially distanced, and no political T-shirts or caps or signs will be permitted. The purpose of our walk is to pray to God, in the public square, for the restoration of religious liberty in our City, and for the healing of all who have been harmed by the pandemic in whatever way.
